Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the only one meant for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed third-level domains remained operational.

Through our company, you can acquire your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no special regulations on who can get a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
